Nintendo are dominating the UK market - selling more units of hardware than either Microsoft or Sony.

Figures released today from Chart Track, show Nintendo is now the 2006 market leader in video games hardware surpassing all competition in both the home console and handheld console markets, largely down to the success of the Nintendo DS and DS Lite.

And with the Wii just around the corner with no competition from Sony in sight, this situation doesn't look likely to change. A huge shipment of Nintendo's next-gen home console is now confirmed to have arrived in Europe ahead of the launch on December 8th, for which Nintendo have said that an "unprecedented number" of pre-orders have been taken.

Nintendo is doing their utmost to replenish stocks to ensure as many people as possible who want to experience Wii, can do so in time for Christmas.
