Microsoft claimed during their E3 presentation that it sold 500,000 console units in Europe. Bill's company also said that 500,000 euro xbox sales did not go down so well. Originally pitched as a sell-through number, but revised to "in the channel", microsoft inisists units have flown in all countries as well as the UK since last months cut.

Nintendo's european boss david gosen said xbox sell-through was "around half their number" according to MCV.

So that is how Microsoft thinks to win the console war, with fake sales numbers! Sigh...
