Nintendo launch a series of new coloured Wii Remote wrist straps only in Japan. Why don't we ever get nice things?

Following almost two years of market dominance with the console that's available primarily in one colour, you would think that it might be time for a bit of a change. Nintendo thought so too, and have just revealed their Autumn range to salivating fans across Japan.

Behold the spectacle! We've already put out an order for seventeen lots of them.

Yes, now you can prevent rogue Wii Remotes from impaling your TV screen/window/priceless vase/dog (delete as applicable) in style with a set of new pastel-coloured wrist straps! Expect at least 48 more colours to be released before Nintendo considers offering more Remote and console colour choices.

The coloured wrist straps are available for �300 each and �1000 as a set of four. We imagine that they're very import-friendly, if you simply cannot wait for the inevitable worldwide release. Already, the world is beginning to feel like a much safer and more fashionable place.
