Already launched in Japan and recently confirmed for the US (read about that here), Nintendo have coughed up their plans for the release of the console in Europe.

The DSi will hit European shores on April 3rd; two days before the US release. Many online retailers in the UK are pricing the console in the region between �145 and �149.99 - a full fifty pounds more than the current DS Lite model.

The updated console boasts improved audio, an SD card slot, two cameras and 256 megabytes of storage under the hood. The system also launches with a revamped online interface, allowing users to download software from the DSiWare Shop for use any time on the go.
