News: Nintendo Deny Dual-Touch DS

The rumour mill suffers a direct hit from Nintendo's PR people as the Big N deny the existence of a 'dual-touch' DS system.

Earlier today, Kotaku reported that unnamed industry sources had informed them that Nintendo were planning to release a new DS system in early 2009. A major hardware change would increase the size of the DS screens and implement touch-sensitive technology into both screens.

Nintendo were swift to transmogrify themselves into a giant, sinister rain cloud and set their phasers to kill as they headed over to Kotaku's parade. Nintendo dismissed the article as "rumo[u]r and speculation" before whipping out their Neuralizers and wiping the memories of everyone in the vicinity.

With Reggie predicting 100 million units sold by next March and with sales still going strong, is there really any need for a new piece of DS hardware anyway? Post your thoughts in the comments below.
