News: Nintendo Dominate May US Charts

Its official, Nintendo have conquered the States. Check out these figures...

Some may call us premature, but there seems no point denying the figures. Nintendo are back on top. After generations as the dethroned top-dog, Nintendo has finally returned to its former position of glory atop the charts.

The DS and Wii sit proudly atop the American hardware charts for the month of May, having clocked up almost as many sales as the rest of the chart combined. Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PS3 lurk in the bottom two places of the chart - with the PS3 only managing a pitiful 81,000 units - less than a fourth that of the Wii.

On the software side of things, Nintendo occupy four out of the top five places in the chart, with the new DS Pokémon titles snatching first and fourth positions, Mario Party 8 on the Wii nabbing second place, with Wii Play still managing to stay at five.
