Nintendo is predicting sales of the Wii RemotePlus controller to surge following the release of Wii Play Motion.

This Friday, June 24th, sees the release of Wii Play Motion. The title will come bundled with a red Wii MotionPlus controller and is designed to introduce audiences to the more advanced Wii Remote.

Wii Play, which came bundled with the original Remote, is one of the console's biggest selling titles and Nintendo expect that Wii Play Motion will encourage gamers to pick up extra versions of the MotionPlus remote to engage in multiplayer gaming. Vanisha Kavia, marketing assistant at Nintendo, said:

"We expect that it will be just as successful as the original Wii Play over a long period of time. As the game can have up to three other players, we hope to see an increase in sales of the Wii Remote Plus controller as undoubtedly friends and family will want to join in on the fun that comes with Wii Play: Motion."
