Eidos announced today their first title for the Gamecube under their "Fresh Games" label, and it is Swingerz Golf. The game will feature many arcade aspects, and will be nothing like a hardcore sim, that's for sure. There will be six different courses in the final version of the game, and they'll be spread out over a wide variety of terrain, including desert environments and English-style courses with deep rough and intimidating bunkers. There will be four primary gameplay modes, including stroke, tournament, match, and short course. There will also be par-three courses to play, as well as a variety of minigames such as "closest to the pin."

Eidos' Fresh Games label is their newest attempt to give gamers new types of games, and new experiences. Previous releases under the license include Mr. Mosquito, which is basically you flying around as a mosquito. The other Fresh Games were released on the Playstation 2 most recently.

Swingerz Golf will be released later this fall.
