As European Zelda fans rushed to get tickets to the Zelda Symphony this morning Nintendo has launched another event to mark the celebration of Zelda's 25th anniversary. Today marks the launch of the 'Make Your Own Zelda Flipnote' competition in which fans can create their own animations using Flipnote Studio and have them judged by Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, Takashi Tezuka and Yoshiaki Koizumi.
Nintendo is asking fans to create an animation using Flipnote Studio that is based on the Zelda franchise. The requirements are quite open as everything will be considered as long as its based on Zelda. In order to enter the competition fans will have to download and use Flipnote Studio, available on DSiWare for the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL (note: it is not available on the Nintendo 3DS).
The competition closes on September 9th 2011 so be sure to get those entries in soon! The judges' favourite entries will be posted on the Nintendo website, Flipnote Hatena on the DSi and DSi XL and the Nintendo Channel.
