News: Nintendo Media Summit - Day One Roundup

We summarise all of the news today from day one of Nintendo's Media Summit. It's a very short article.

We were probably expecting too much from Day One of Nintendo's Media Summit, currently being held in San Fransisco. We already knew that all the big juicy stuff is being saved until E3 in July, but we did expect a few more tidbits than what we did get, with even some of that embargoed so we can't report it anyway.

Of the titles on show, there was a new name for the Mario-centric baseball title for the Wii, now entitled Mario Super Sluggers. The Wii Remote is used to throw and bat as you would expect, and is stuffed full of Mario characters to play as.

Other titles demoed for the press crowd included Wii Fit, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2, Boom Blox and Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS, though nothing major was announced about any of these titles. Yawn. Roll on July.

Nintendo plans to release some more info on WiiWare titles tomorrow, so stay tuned.
