Nintendo of Spain releases DS sales figures and details on Game Boy Micro and Play-Yan in Europe!

Spain alone has sold through over 150,000 Nintendo DS consoles in the three months since launch, exceeding expectations of their demand. This was no doubt helped by a marketing budget of �5 million, which the company says has been used succesfully to attract older gamers to the system who may have otherwise bought a Sony PSP.

The company also confirmed a November release for the Game Boy Micro, which will presumably be roughly the same across Europe. Also confirmed was that the Play-Yan media-player which plays MP3 audio files and MPEG video clips will be coming to Europe, although a release date was not mentioned.
