News: Nintendo Power Reveals BWii Date

Nintendo Power tells us when the game will be released in the US...

Battalion Wars came a little bit late in the GameCube's lifespan - it didn't sell to well. The lack of multiplayer didn't help it, either. US magazine Nintendo Power reveals that the Wii sequel, Battalion Wars II (or BWii), will arrive in the US on the 24th September 2007.

This time round, Nintendo has not just promised 3 multiplayer modes (co-op, assault and skirmish), but also told us that the game will have LAN and Online modes for all the modes. It also features the ability to capture facilities, which can be used to generate more units like the Advance Wars series, and the ability to command far units from a map screen. It also has naval units plus a new army, Anglo Isles, based on the UK.

It should be noted that the GameCube version made it to Europe 3 days after the US, due to its development in the UK.
