News: Nintendo Presence At The SD Comic-Con

Nintendo is not fooling around at this year's edition of the largest comic book convention on the planet...

For folks who will be able to make it to this year's San Diego Comic Convention, Nintendo will apparently be doing their part in making it worth your while. See, last year the presence of video game companies was such that it almost felt like a mini-E3. In fact, multiple companies had rather nice booth displays packing plenty of playable demos (Konami and Sony, for starters.) Apparently now Nintendo has also deduced that their just could be a bit of crossover between comic book enthusiasts and video game enthusiasts...and they are responding accordingly by having a respectably comprehensive showing this year (last year their booth was rather tiny, still they did have a nice setup for RE4.)

The Nintendo booth at this year's convention will feature playable demo stations of many of their hot upcoming titles for all platforms...and get this, DS fans: the DS download kiosk will be active and ready to send cool little game demos and extras (whether it will be offering anything new from E3 is currently unknown. We'll find out.) All told, here is the tentative list of what Nintendo plans to bring to the show:

    Gamecube:
  • Battalion Wars
  • Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
  • Geist
  • The Incredibles 2
  • Killer 7
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
  • Spartan: Total Warrior

    Nintendo DS:
  • Advance Wars: Dual Strike
  • Age of Empires
  • Castlevania DS
  • Mario Kart DS
  • Metroid Prime Hunters
  • Nintendogs
  • Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

    Gameboy Advance:
  • Batman Begins
  • Dynasty Warriors Advance
  • Mega Man Zero 4
  • Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King

Additonally, Nintendo will be holding several gameplay demonstrations to highlight upcoming releases such as Battalion Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Cube-Europe will be there to report any new bits of information that may pop up... but don't expect any earth-shattering announcements, gamers. Thats what E3 was for. However, do expect this writer to gleefully pocket any cool Nintendo freebies he can get his hands on.
