Disney's iconic mascot is heading to Japan courtesy of Nintendo.

Disney Interactive Studio's Epic Mickey was released late last year in America and Europe, yet in spite of the popularity of Disney in Japan it has not yet been released over there. This is all set to change though as Nintendo has announced they will release the title in Japan.

Andriasang report that Nintendo will be localising and releasing Epic Mickey in Japan. The game has been given a new name as well, Disney Epic Mickey: Micky Mouse to Mahou no Fude, which translates to Disney Epic Mickey: Mickey Mouse and the Magic Brush. The title is due out in Japan on August 4th.

A few weeks ago Nintendo announced that they would be publishing Goldeneye 007 in Japan so it would appear they are quite eager for their Japanese fans to catch up on some titles they've been missing out on.
