Celebrating the launch of Nintendo's first portable digital distribution service, Nintendo reveals their plans for DSiWare for the next three months.
Following a strong onslaught of WiiWare titles revealed by Nintendo of Europe for release in the next three months, Nintendo have also revealed a list of upcoming DSiWare titles at their WiiWare and Nintendo DSiWare Media Summit.
The following titles will be available from April to June 2009, with prices starting at 200 Nintendo Points.
- A Little Bit Of... Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: Maths Edition (NINTENDO)
Try saying that when you're drunk. This new Brain Training game takes on a heavy mathematic influence, mixing some old brain exercises with some brand new ones. The DSi's unique new features are also utilised in this package with a new Themes section, where you can take a picture of your impersonations with the inner camera and illustrate them, then send them to friends.- Art Style: PiCOPiCT (NINTENDO)
This new puzzling installment in the Art Style series sees you sliding coloured pixels about to create pixellated images of iconic Nintendo characters in NES sprite form. The game features 8-bit music and visuals and should be a treat for long-term Nintendo gamers.- Mighty Flip Champs (WAYFORWARD TECHNOLOGIES)
From the brains behind LIT and cult-hit Shantae comes Mighty Flip Champs, a unique action-puzzler where you control Alta, a girl with a magic staff who must navigate mazes by flipping through- Mixed Messages (ACTIVISION)
We dug this one up from a PEGI rating at the weekend, now it's officially confirmed. Developed by Vicarious Visions (responsible for some excellent DS and Wii titles, including the Guitar Hero series), it's a multiplayer-only title which uses just one DSi. One player writes a sentence, another player must draw an image based on this sentence, another writes another sentence based on this picture, and so on. Like Chinese whispers, except with writing and drawings.- Pop Superstar: Road to Celebrity (GAMELOFT)
Lead a rising starlet up through the ranks of the glamourous world of show business and use the touch screen and mic to sing and play instruments, sign autographs, as well as using the DSi camera to take snaps. There are two multiplayer modes for 2-4 players.- Real Football 2009 (GAMELOFT)
This footy game is no FIFA, but features 198 teams and real player names, and the ability to use the DSi's cameras to take pictures of anything you want, and then use the photos to customise footballs and team flags, or even upload your own face on to the face of your favourite player!
