News: Nintendo Starts Massive Recruitment Drive

Nintendo is undertaking a massive drive for new and veteran talent, according to a report...

Nintendo Co. Ltd. has begun a large-scale recruitment drive to expand its base in Japan, according to The Kyoto Report. New talent is being sought after to bolster Nintendo's Tokyo base, but most of the personnel will be brought on at Nintendo's brand new facility in Kyoto.

The new Kyoto building was announced earlier this year and is due to begin construction in January. It will house a massive 1500 staff, and is proposed to be Nintendo's main research and development facility, developing both hardware and software.

Though perhaps the most interesting reading is the diversity of the staff Nintendo is taking on. Everyone from web engineers, network specialists and movie production staff is part of Nintendo's future.
