News: Nintendo Talks E3 2007, Confirms Support

Nintendo will be at the E3 Media Festival in July 2007. Comments from Sony and Microsoft also inside.
Currently, Nintendo is the only one of the Big Three to commit to being at the re-named and downsized E3 event next year. If you've been living under a rock these past few days, E3 is now re-titled the E3 Media Festival, and will be held in July, as opposed to the traditional May date.
Talking to GamesIndustry.biz, Nintendo UK PR manager Rob Saunders said, "I can confirm that Nintendo will be involved in the E3 expo next year," though declined from commenting to what extent. Still, this is currently more than other companies.
A Microsoft representative said that the company was supportive of the changes to E3, but that they were "not in a position to talk about what Microsoft will be doing in regards to next year's E3." David Wilson, head of SCEE PR was similarly evasive, saying that they "generally view E3 as a 'US' show," so SCEA 'own' it, and they will confirm their position at a later date.
Whatever shape or form E3 will take next year, you can guarantee we'll cover it as closely as ever.
