A successful Christmas holiday sees Nintendo come out on top in Japan.
According to Enterbrain, the Japanese publisher of Famitsu and all-round media sales counter, the Wii sold 774,123 units during the Christsmas shopping period.
Compare this with Sony's flagship PS3 which sold a staggeringly less 232,421 units in the same time and you have a recipe that spells success for Nintendo. Here at N-Europe we're no mathematicians but our calcumbobulations give us a Wii-to-PS3 sales ratio of 3:1. Lawks!
Coming in at a respectable third - in a three-horse race, the Xbox 360 shifted no less than 38,994 consoles, a considerable leap in normal sales for the Microsoft machine.
And finally, in a piece of news that sees living rooms across the Land of the Rising Sun shaking to the sound of overstuffed waistbands, Wii Fit has put away 749,000 units since its launch in December.
