News: Nintendo to Attend CES

Nintendo are attending the technology show CES for the first time in 16 years.

The CES show in Las Vegas is one of the biggest electronics trade shows in the world but Nintendo has not attended for 16 years. The event, due to take place between January 6-9 2011, will give Nintendo a chance to showcase the 3DS.

The event will also host exhibitions from Microsoft, Sony and various publishers and developers when it takes place early next year. Be sure to stay tuned as Nintendo may have chosen to attend with the intention of announcing big news.

Update

After the news spread around the Internet yesterday CES realised they had made an error in their press statement. Gadgets and Gizmos report that CES accidentally included Nintendo in the list of exhibitors.

While Nintendo has booked some meeting rooms for the event they will not be showing any products. Anyone hoping for some big news during the event will no doubt be upset by the mix up but it seems Nintendo are there to talk privately, not publically.
