The Famicom (or NES, as it was known in the West), Nintendo's first foray into the home console market, was launched in Japan in 1983, and is still repaired by Nintendo for its users today. However, due to stocks of spare parts running out, this will soon have to come to an end.

Repairs for the SNES will also soon have to cease for similar reasons.
