Nintendo UK's marketing manager says they are "blown away" by the public's response to the 3DS.

Next week is a big week for both Nintendo and its fans as the eagerly awaited new handheld is launched. The Nintendo 3DS has broken pre-order records already and after an extensive tour around the country Nintendo has managed to get the console into thousands of peoples' hands.

Speaking to NowGamer Nintendo UK's marketing manager James Honeywell stated: "We've been blown away by the feedback and response from everyone who has seen it, people love it." Honeywell added, "They love the fact the 3D really works and is true 3D without glasses - something you can only really know 100 per cent when you sample it for yourself. People are also really positive about the launch line up and software for 3DS - with some real treats there for gamers and newcomers alike.".

It is not just the 3D technology that has impressed fans. "We've also learned that people love the built in software with Augmented Reality and Face Raiders being highlights for many people."
