News: Nintendo Unfazed By Other Motion Controls

Sony and Microsoft's upcoming motion control projects will have an uphill struggle, claims Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto.

While Microsoft and Sony both have big plans for motion controls in the pipeline, Nintendo's game designing legend Shigeru Miyamoto has claimed that the two companies will have trouble gaining a foothold - due to Nintendo's existing user-base of motion control-using gamers. Said Shigsy:

"We have sold millions of controllers at a good price point. And we have that delivery system successfully already implemented. For other companies starting from zero and trying to figure out how to get it out there at a decent price point is a big challenge."

The challenges facing Sony and Microsoft, reckons Miyamoto, are not just creating a natural feeling control device, but how to sell it to the public. "I think we've accomplished that," Miyamoto claims. Will Sony and Microsoft have the same success? Let us know your thoughts below...
