News: Nintendo Wii Ads Removed

What do you do when a console remains popular over Christmas?
With the Wii being out for over a year now, you would expect it to be somewhat easier to buy. This Christmas shows just how wrong that statement is. With vast supplies being sent to retailers and sold out on the day, it's no wonder parents are complaining with the shortages and cursing people for buying a Wii and sticking it on eBay for a profit, even with a large increase in shipments and production reaching up to 1.8 million units being made.
Regardless of shipments being increased, the Wii is still like gold dust and because of this Nintendo themselves have decided to remove their Wii ads. Why promote a console that is continously out of stock? The Wii ad campaign will resume in January after the Christmas rush.
