Nintendo and the Cube's Resident Evil 4 picked up a handfull of awards at the 2005 Golden Joystick Awards. Check out all the winners inside...
Taking place last week at London's Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, the Golden Joystick Awards, established in 1983 are the major UK gaming awards voted for by videogames players, with over 200,000 votes cast this year.
Resident Evil 4 was a big winner, scoring the GameCube Game of the Year award, the Editor's Game of the Year, and curiously the Best Film-Based Game of 2005. Even though the game isn't at all based on any of the Resident Evil films. Strange.
Nintendo won the coveted Publisher of the Year Award, while it also scored with Super Mario 64 DS being crowned the Handheld Game of the Year.
Finally, Twilight Princess won the "One To Watch For Xmas" award, the second year running it has won an award just on anticipation (ironically last year it won the "One To Watch For 2005" Award.)
