The list of all breeds available in Nintendogs + Cats has been announced.

The official Japanese website has revealed the full list of breeds that will be available in Nintendogs + Cats. As with Nintendogs different dog breeds will be available across the three different versions of the game at the start but all 27 will be unlockable through continuously using the StreetPass mode.

Cat fans will be disappointed to hear that only three different breeds will be available: shorthair, Siamese and a long-haired cat. There are, however, different patterns available for each breed to add a bit of variety. You will be able to bring up your own kittens during the game and they will live their own existence. While you can play with dogs and take them for walks cats will simply nap, use their claws and climb scratching posts.
