News: Nintendo's 2007 Japanese Wii Titles

Will Mario, Metroid and Smash Bros. really all hit Japan by the end of the year? Apparently so...
During last week's briefing, when Iwata claimed over a hundred Wii and DS titles were currently in development by the Big N, IGN managed to get hold of a list of games, allegedly all slated for a 2007 release in Japan.
Obviously, if this list came true then we'd be over-joyed. Third and even fourth quarter releases for the Big Three titles (Mario, Metroid and Smash Bros.) would mean Europe definitely has a chance of seeing them before the end of the year as well. However if Nintendo's past is anything to go, we seriously doubt these will all be out by December 31st. There's so many good titles, can we really expect none to slip?
- Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (Donkey Jet/DK Bongo Blast, US) - June 28, 2007
- Wii Health Pack - 2007
- Disaster: Day of Crisis - 2007
- Mario Party 8 - 2007
- Project H.A.M.M.E.R. - 2007
- Wii Music - 2007
- Super Mario Galaxy - 2007
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 2007
- Battalion Wars II - 2007
- Forever Blue - 2007
- Mario Strikers Charged - 2007
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 2007
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympics - 2007
Additionally, Kirby Adventure and Animal Crossing Wii were both listed with a "TBA" date.
If this list came true, we'd be over the moon. Massive titles for the core-gamers, and big games for the casual users as well, like Wii Health Pack and Wii Music. Call us sceptics, however, but we'll be expecting date changes for some of these in the future. We'll keep you posted.
