News: No Haze For Wii

The boys and girls at Free Radical Design confirm the Wii will not see a version of its upcoming Haze, citing technical reasons.

Led by ex-Goldeneye vets and traditionally fans of Nintendo, the Cube was graced by FRD's insanely fun first-person shooters TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect, as well as the engaging but underrated Second Sight. So it came as a suprise when the studio revealed its next-gen title Haze at E3 - for Xbox 360 and PS3 only.

The studio have answered the question as to why the Wii won't see a version on their website, stating:

There are currently no plans for a Wii version of Haze. Sadly, the cutting-edge technology we're using requires more power than the Wii has available. If we could, we would.

This is a great shame, and we can but hope Free Radical Design don't leave the Wii out in the cold for long.
