A PSP version of the best darn junk ball rolling series out there has been officially announced... wait, PSP!?

Freshly revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu, the PSP will be gifted with its own portable take on Namco's beloved new series Katamari Damacy, to be titled Boku no Watashi no Katamari Damacy. Of course, this is not a PSP site so the central issue raised here is: what about the DS? Some readers will recall about 4 or 5 months ago, Nintendo Power magazine (subsidiary of NOA itself) subtly listed Katamari Damacy for DS. Since then fans have eagerly anticipated further word on the game, despite alleged denials on Namco's part.

Will the DS (with its platform philosophy and control system seemingly suited to a game like KD) not be feeling the love of the King of All Cosmos? Unfortuneately, despite the usual dependability of Nintendo Power, in light of the denials and today's announcement it is looking like this will indeed be the case (at least for now). Keep your fingers crossed, DS gamers... but not too tightly.
