Nintendo have no plans to rectify the problem of saving ghost data in MK64 on the Virtual Console.

Many of us would like to believe in a Karma system, in this world. For every good thing that happens, a bad thing happens, and vice versa.

Our recent joy: Mario Kart 64 appearing on the Virtual Console. Our 'pain': Not being able to save time trial ghost data.

Ok, it's not the biggest problem in the world. However, we expect that many gamers were annoyed at this. Well, it looks like things will not be improving anytime soon:

"Due to unavoidable technical reasons unfortunately it is not possible to save ghost data," claims a Nintendo statement sent to Pro-G. Shoppers are apparently advised of the missing feature before purchasing the title from Wii Shop Channel.

A little disappointing to see that this situation will not be resolved, but of course, the multiplayer more than makes up for this minor loss.
