SNK US boss Ben Herman speaks to Spong about the Wii.

In a recent interview with Spong, SNK US Boss Ben Herman talked about the Wii and its future plans regarding online gaming.

In a somewhat startling relation, Mr. Herman 'claimed' that we may not see third party titles go online with the Wii until early next year.

"Nintendo is still not letting Wii third-party publishers include online capabilities in their games and it doesn't look like they will during 2007. So the best chance they have at building an online presence appears to be what they're doing with Virtual Console," spoke Mr. Herman.

Of course, what he's saying about the lack of third party online titles until 2008 is speculation on his part, but may there be some truth to his words?
