In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that the Wii version of Call of Duty 3, published by Activision, will not be featuring any kind of online multiplayer.

Recently, Go Nintendo posted a rumour that the Wii version may feature up to 16 players online. However, Activision have hit back with a statement declaring that the Wii version will be focusing purely on the single player aspect of the game.

"That was a misprint on Game Informer's part. We wanted to clear up that the Wii version will not have online multiplayer, but is being developed to take advantage of the unique controls and provide an amazing single player interactive experience."
