While Zack & Wiki remains one of the most critically acclaimed titles on the Wii it would appear we won't be hearing Wiki shout "Zack-kuuuuu!" again any time soon.

Zack & Wiki was one of the earliest titles out on the Wii that really used the Wii Remote in a unique way. Players would use the Remote to shake bells, cut down trees and much more with the help of transforming animals.

There have been rumours that a sequel would be made to make use of the new Wii Motion Plus control, but it seems that this is not the case according to game's producer Hinrobu Takeshita. Speaking to Revogamers he expressed his love for the title but stated it is unlikely we will see a sequel soon.

Thank you for your love for Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaro’s Treasure! However, unfortunately that rumor is totally not true. I personally like this title so I would like to create a new one though I don’t think it’s good timing to do so.

He was also questioned about if he has any work under way for the 3DS and he responded saying that he has not. So it seems that if there is ever going to be a another Zack & Wiki title it may be a while.
