We, and many other sites, reported during the E3 that a 'realistic' Zelda sequel for the GameCube would be already in development. It now appears that our source did not translate it's source, a french interview with a representive of Nintendo of Canada, correctly.
The correct translation of the question asked is as follows:
JXP: Zelda's new look deceive lots of people. Many would prefer a Zelda like one we seen at the Space World 2000. There's rumors who get out of the web saying that a second Zelda for Nintendo GameCube was in development. Is it right ?
Answer: All I can answer at this time is that the legend of Zelda that is being shown on the floor this week at E3 expands on the game play of the ocarina of time and features unique, new animation style that allows a wider variety of actions and livelier expressive characters.
Will there be a 'realistic' 3D Zelda, from the first ever screen shots released by Nintendo? We don't know yet. We will have to wait a little while before Nintendo will release info on a second Zelda game for the GameCube.
When the news breaks we will of course let you know as fast as possible!
