Nintendo of America are to host their own media summit a day before the already-announced European event. What could be brewing?

Last week, we brought you news of a mysterious European media summit to be hosted by Nintendo. Adding weight to theories that it will be more than a benign coffee, doughnuts and things-we-already-know-about event, Nintendo have today announced a similar American conference to take place a day before.

On February 24th, select members of the press are invited to join Nintendo of America for "a full day of presentations, demos and hands-on gameplay". Even if no megaton announcements are made, the prospect of some juicy eyes-on time with the likes of Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M and Nintendo's other 2010 big-hitters should make it an event to keep a keen watch on.
