Confirming rumors a few days ago, Nintendo announced that their Japanese event, Spaceowrld, has been canceled for this year. Nintendo are planning to host many smaller shows in its place.

Here's what NOE had to say on the matter:
"Space World is not an annual event, and having showcased an exciting and very well received line-up of games at this year's E3 we are excited about promoting our products in Japan and are currently looking at the opportunities."

They also noted that no plans for shows in Europe had been confirmed. But once they are, we'll be all over them.
