New advertisements from Nintendo of Europe point out that the 3DS can be played in 2D.

With the new batch of advertisements for the Flame Red 3DS rolling in, Nintendo are keen to point out that the 3DS can be played in 2D.

In what is said to be a response to mixed reactions of 3D technology and a step away from focusing the handheld on 3D is this new advert which shows the 3DS can be played in both 2D and 3D.

In a recent survey carried out by the Interpret research firm it was revealed that 28% of 3DS owners think that 3D negatively affects gameplay. A further 13% stated that they play the system with the 3D always turned off.
