Miyamoto speaks about online, in an interview with Nintendo Official Magazine.

I think we all have heard these news again in the past. And now, we hear the word online more and more from Nintendo representatives. Here's one of the things, that Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned in the interview:

"our target user is everyone: people aged from 5 to 95. And if you look at that wide user base, you have children who see their parents with PDAs and so on. So there's a lot of appeal for kids to use the DS and the stylus for its chat capabilities. And it's possible for someone with a wireless router in their home to potentially link up the Nintendo DS to that router, their computer and the Internet, and then to potentially link up to other instant messenging programs."

It's becoming clear that Nintendo will enter the online gaming world sooner or later.
