If you've purchased some DSiWare games but now have a 3DS you may want to check out this list.

The Nintendo 3DS eShop update is just around the corner and Nintendo has confirmed what DSiWare titles will not be transferable. They mentioned some time ago that not all games can be transferred but now an official list has been released and it is bound to aggravate some users:

This list is for the Japanese service, which explains why there may be some titles you've not heard of, but no reason was given for the games being incompatible. Nintendo has also reminded gamers that DSiWare and WiiWare points cannot be used in the 3DS eShop as it uses real currency.

It is not all doom and gloom however as more than just (most of) your games can be transferred across. Your photo and sound data can be transferred alongside your Wi-Fi user information and Wi-Fi Connection ID according to Andriasang. This will delete the Wi-Fi Connection ID and user information from the original system but not the sound and picture data.

In order to transfer your data you must download the free app that will be available and then you can select to transfer all or just some of the data. However, you should be warned that once the data has been transferred you cannot transfer it back again.
