American police have seized more bootleg Nintendo consoles. They're about twenty years behind though.

More than 60,000 pirate NES' were taken by the New York police services in the city and in New Jersey recently. The FBI infiltrated the operation in an undercover sting, posing as interested buyers, and later arrested four men in connection. Apparently the men had imported almost 300,000 illegal games consoles in the last third of 2004; so it was no shady character and his car boot.

Pirate games reportedly seized include Duck Hunt and the original Mario Bros. game. So they're thieving criminals, but at least they're thieving criminals with some appreciation for the classics.
