News: Nyko Announce 'Wing' Classic Controller

Nyko Technologies have revealed the Wing, a wireless Classic Controller for the Wii.
We have always been quite perplexed and irritated at Nintendo's design for the Classic Controller. No matter how you use it, the Wii Remote and the excessive amounts of cable dangling down from it always end up getting in the way (the spring grip in the back of the controller - which could provide a solution for this messy problem - hasn't been used or mentioned since the product launched, either).
Nyko Technologies have stepped in to save the day with the revelation of the Wing, a completely wireless Classic Controller. You simply plug a wireless dongle into the Wii Remote, turn on the Wing and you're ready to rock.
With a sleek aesthetic, a colourful design and the fact that it abolishes Nintendo's ugly wire, we reckon this could give the official pad a run for its money.
The Wing has up to 10 feet of wireless range, and be used for up to 30 hours on 2 AA batteries. For players who use rechargeable batteries, the Wing also comes bundled with a USB cable to allow the controller to be recharged from one of the USB ports on the back of the Wii console.
"As more and more games utilizing the classic controller scheme become available through the Virtual Console and WiiWare Channels, we wanted to offer a step up to what was currently available," says Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies. "With the new Wing controller, we're providing gamers with old-school gaming compatibility, combined with modern ergonomics and wireless technology."
Nyko's wireless Wing classic controller will be flying into stores in North America in October for $29.99.
