Leader of the project fatally killed in a car accident.

Richard Denton June, creator and leader of a project to re-create the Nintendo 64 classic Ocarina of Time in 2D form has died.

Also known as "Dampe", and aged only 16 years of age, Richard was tragically killed in a fatal car accident on Friday. This death will certainly come as a shock to the gaming community, as he has established himself as a respected creator by leading such an ambitious project.

It is currently unknown whether there will be any more progress made in "Ocarina of Time 2D", but right now, many of us will be mourning the loss of a great creator and a young man, who was never able to reach his potential.
