Data from Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection service indicates Nintendogs and Yoshi's Island DS are being connected online.

Here's something weird. The guys over at NeoGAF have discovered Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection data for Nintendogs and Yoshi's Island DS, two DS games which don't have online play. Both were originally going to have online elements, indeed the latter of the two even had an early pack-shot released with the WFC logo on.

Currently its unclear if this is testing by Nintendo of online-play still hidden in game's code, or alternatively, evidence of the games somehow being hacked by fans.
