New details about One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP for the 3DS have been released.

Namco Bandai announced a while ago it was repackaging One Piece: Unlimited Cruise 1 & 2, originally released for the Wii, on the 3DS. However, they are not simply moving the games onto another console as new information indicates Namco Bandai are putting in new features and characters.

Andriasang reports that the new issue of Weekly Shounen Jump outlines some of the improvements One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP will have over the original titles. Two new characters, Emporio Ivankov and Boa Hancock, will be added to the existing roster of playable characters.

Other new features will be added to the title, although they have yet to be announced. The article did confirm that all the elements from the originals will be included, such as the treasure hunting and fishing modes that do not form part of the main game.
