Yoshinori Ono has thrown praise onto the 3DS, saying that its launch is as exciting as that of the Sega Dreamcast.
In a recent interview with EDGE magazine, the Street Fighter producer told how excited he and his team at Capcom are for the impending release of the handheld.
When asked why they decided to develop Super Street Fighter IV for the 3DS, he told of the intrigue of discovering exactly what a new machine can do.
He said: "First, we are in Nintendo country. Second, the feeling I have with 3DS is the same as when the Dreamcast came out - as a developer, I mean, these machines are so exciting.
"We're fascinated by it at Capcom, and diving into the innards at the moment, but you know there's just so much more there to unlock; it's got more to give."
Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition will available when the 3DS launches in Europe on March 25th.
