Japan will receive the original N64 classic Super Smash Bros. on Virtual Console!

After a long wait and a stunning new version for the Wii itself, Nintendo will finally be taking gamers back to the Smash Bros. series roots with the original title for the N64 next year.

January will see Nintendo All Star Dairantou Smash Brothers hit the Japanese Virtual Console for 1,200 Wii Points. That's a rather inflated price tag, but from past experience with Zelda: Ocarina of Time when the same amount was charged in Japan, Nintendo will probably just charge the usual 1000 Points upon its inevitable launch here.

Which, now the Japanese date is close, shouldn't now be too long away...
