News: OVERKILL Enters the Record Books

Further proving the Wii isn't just for kids Sega's House of the Dead: OVERKILL has entered the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition for 'adult' reasons.

It seems that House of the Dead: OVERKILL may make even Cartman blush as with its 189 uses of the f-word it has just entered the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition for most swearing in a game.

Sega, and Headstrong who developed the game, managed to squeeze in so much swearing that the f-word is equal to three percent of the game's total dialogue, which is roughly over one per minute during its approximately three hour main campaign.

The Guinness World Records Gamer's has been published the last two years, with the latest one released last month, and has already become popular with gamers. The inclusion of House of the Dead: OVERKILL marks a new category in the book. Gaz Deaves, the Video Games Records Manager for Guinness World Records, said: “This record category pre-existed for movies, music and television, but House of the Dead: Overkill is the first video game to be awarded the title in the Gamer’s Edition. It’s a mark of the times.”

Congratulations to Sega and Headstrong, we're sure your mothers would be f**king proud.
