News: PAL Regions Getting 50Hz Mario

Nintendo will be bestowing the upcoming Super Mario All Stars upon us in glorious 50Hz...
We don't always get it easier in PAL territories. While historically we may have received games in less-than-optimal technical forms, there's much less of an excuse for it in this day and age. Virtual Console releases are still widely made available in their sub-NTSC forms, but we'd like to think retailers have a bit of a responsibility when it comes to retail games.
That's why it's a bit of a downer that Nintendo will not be releasing the upcoming Wii iteration of Super Mario All Stars in 60Hz in PAL territories. Nintendo Life has confirmed that the game will only run in 50Hz mode. Although it may not be entirely surprising that Nintendo didn't go back and optimise the game for its PAL release, it still would have been a nice gesture.
Does the situation affect your plans to purchase the game? Or was it entirely to be expected?
