News: Pandora's Tower, Kirby Wii Announced

New titbits galore at Nintendo's investor's meeting takes place in Japan...

Following on from their Q3 earnings release yesterday, Nintendo conducted a scheduled investor call, from which titbits of new announcements have already hit the net.

A surprise reveal came in the form of another new Kirby game for the Wii. Developed by HAL Laboratory, the game looks quite similar to the cancelled Gamecube Kirby title first revealed in 2005. A short video of the game in action can be seen on Nintendo Japan's site here.

Rather more mysteriously, Nintendo also announced a brand new first-party IP for Wii. Pandora's Tower was announced with virtually no other complementary information, save for the fact it is nearing completion and set to launch in Japan in the first half of the year. The game's website has been launched here. Seems very JRPGish and reminiscent of the Xenoblade and The Last Story reveals, so don't expect to hear anything concerning a western release any time soon.

Pandora's Tower. WHAT CAN IT MEAN?

Other snippets from the event include news that Nintendo is to publish GoldenEye 007 and Just Dance 2 in Japan. The company also expressed its happiness with pre-order levels for Mistwalker's epic RPG The Last Story, which released yesterday.

And as has become tradition by now, Nintendo's official release schedule still lists Monado: Beginning of the World/Xenoblade as 'TBA' for North America.
