New patents show off more of potential Wii U peripherals...

Recently emerged patents (via Engadget) have shown Nintendo pressing on with some of the ideas thrown around at the Wii U controller unveiling last year.

The key patent is one for a 'Zapper' peripheral tailor-made for the tablet-like Wii U controller. Such an accessory was teased in a video at E3 last year, but the official patent shows off how a released product might look.

Nintendo has confirmed it will show off the 'final form' of Wii U at E3 on June 5th.
