News: PES 2012 3DS Features 'Full Online'

The next 3DS iteration of PES will make up for its predeccesor's shortcomings in the online department...

Konami has confirmed that its 3DS version of this year's Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will feature "full online functionality". This includes the ability to play against another player via local wireless play or Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

PES 2011 launched alongside the 3DS, but was criticised particularly for its lack of online play.

Other features PES 2012 3DS boasts are Master League and Become a Legend modes, official UEFA Champions League and Copa Libertadores tournaments, a new, touch-based control option and an "intelligent, swooping" camera angle to take advantage of the 3D screen.

StreetPass will also be utilised, with players able to swap Master League team data. You can also take on a computer opponent using the other person's players.

PES 2012 3D has no firm release date yet, but the publisher says that it will be available soon.
